Presentation
The PINBook – Political Interest Networks (2018-2021) project seeks to characterize the communication activities of non-official political actors on the social platform Facebook. The activities of the actors chosen for inclusion in the corpus will be monitored and analysed during a period encompassing the election for the European Parliament and the Portuguese parliamentary election, by employing the methodological tools of digital methods and network analysis and subsequently through netnography and content analysis.
The gathered data provided an answer to the main research question: considering Facebook as a platform that contemplates the expression and discussion of political views, how do Portuguese official and non-official actors use it and how are followers engaged?
