Research is an act of creation and a gift. These colleagues have left us a legacy of humanity, scientific excellence and critical curiosity.
Fernando Correia (1942-2024)
He was one of the founding members of CIMJ (Media and Journalism Research Center), one of the parents of the current ICNOVA (together with CECL, the Center for Studies in Communication and Language), where he developed a pioneering project, supported by FCT, Memórias Vivas do Jornalismo.
Anabela Sousa Lopes (1968-2022)
She was a founding member of ICNOVA. Her calmness, serenity, friendship and dedication to research and teaching will be remembered with nostalgia.
Maria Lucília Marcos (1958 - 2022)
She leaves us a face. Serene, open, affable. The face that welcomes the Other, as she has so often pointed out.
Joel Hasse Ferreira (1944-2022)
He played an essential role in the development and consolidation of the area of specialization in Strategic Communication.
Nelson Traquina (1948-2019)

José Augusto Mourão (1947 - 2011)

He remains in everyone’s memory as someone who was always very available, friendly, to give advice or a friendly word, coordinate or join research teams, participate in scientific or editorial projects, always with a strong ethical orientation.
